About the 'Stache

No, I don’t really have a mustache. That might be disappointing, but just consider MustacheMcgee.com to be my digital mustache. I am a bearded man, a graduate of K-state University, and a citizen of Dallas, TX.

As a designer, my area of focus is in the digital world. Print is great, but nothing beats some shiny pixels. I passionately believe that if you're going to do something, you should do it with your whole heart, and you should do it well. It is my goal to surround myself with people who share this same belief.

I love coffee and I love breakfast. This makes mornings especially tasty. Music is one of my favorite things in the world, along with crisp, winter mornings.

My wife Amy is amazing. She’s beautiful, sweet, and runs a coffee shop in Deep Ellum. I seriously hit the jackpot on that one.

The Goods

  • Pixels are my bread and butter. I grew up on them. I breathe them in daily, and I’m really good at making them do what I want. I can take a website from concept through development, all on my own. I like to build responsive sites that improve on the user experience whenever possible.

I prefer Text Mate to hand code HTML5 and CSS3, as well as some PHP.

  • I love video and motion. Blame it on my upbringing in an overstimulated digital world, but I can't help brainstorming on a project without imagining it with some awesome animated elements.

I can chop and edit with the best of them on all the popular editing suites and I can make some sweet animations in C4D and After Effects.

  • At my core, I am a designer. I love simplicity, clean lines, good typography, and anything that is generally well made. I believe everything should be designed well no matter who the audience, and I am always ready to take on that task.

I’m comfortable with any Adobe app you can throw at me, and I enjoy creating everything from a letterpress poster, to a snazzy website, to full on company branding.
